What a pleasure to wake up to freezing temperatures today! Maybe say I'm crazy, but I was feeling cheated out of winter and we have still have a few more weeks. Even with the tulips coming up, the cold is a good thing. Plants do better with a bit of cold. It keeps the pests down and probably stimulates blooming. I thought Punxsatawny Phil said we were in for a long winter. Maybe that means April snows.
Amid the chill and few flurries we headed over to the warmth of Thailand in the Bronx today at the NY Botanical Garden Orchid Show in the Enid Haupt Conservatory.
