I finished my post yesterday meditating on action versus inaction. I realize it's been a theme lately. The Green Tara is compassion embodied in action. To pray to the Tara is to invoke action in yourself. It is works for me and at this time of year what could be more active than the budding of green things in spring? Like my amaryllis unrolling in a beautiful crimson scroll.
The other word for today is strength. I remember with compassion my friend Claudia who would have been 62 today. She showed such strength in her last years, living with a quiet grace in the face of uncertainty. Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life at the Bronx Botanical Gardens.
This Green Tara is dedicated to her - Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha.
